Thanks to a Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA) grant, the district will now offer PLTW - Project Lead The Way, the nation's leading STEM program. These new courses are available to current 6th grade students, and will be offered to all junior high and high school students next school year.

District 3 is one of ten school districts in Colorado recognized for expanding access to Advanced Placement course work and improving the percentage of students earning scores of 3 of higher on AP exams.

Travis Dumas is a seventh grader at Janitell Junior High. This young man was picked out of thousands of students in the region to receive an award for his volunteering efforts. Travis has been volunteering for the Special Olympics for the past four years.
