The Annual Military Inspection (AMI) of our NJROTC program here at Widefield will be held on 23 March 2017. A uniform inspection will start at 0800 (8:00 am) in Bowers Gym; this portion will include platoon drill. At 1800 (6:00pm) on 23 March, the ceremonial phase will begin at Bowers gym, those that have a job, please plan on having them arrive at 1700 (5:00 pm), if the cadet does not have a job please have them arrive at 1730 (5:30 pm). This portion of the ceremony will contain a performance by all the drill teams, recognition of those cadets who earned an outstanding score on their inspection , as well as a Pass-in-Review ceremony. This event is one of the highlights of our curriculum, involving all the corps of cadets in the inspection process. Family and friends are warmly invited to attend, as part of our final grade is the size of our audience.
Because Widefield High School is conducting mandatory state testing that week, all NS-1 ;( 9thgraders) will not be included in the morning inspection. However the cadets are expected to participate in the Pass-in-Review ceremony that will be conducted on 23 March 17.
Parents and guardians are asked to help ensure our cadets are looking their best when they come to school on Thursday morning and return Thursday night in that same uniform. This inspection is a very important part of our program at Widefield. While much of the day will be spent with the cadets, the inspector will also spend time looking over the many aspects of the program.
Thank you for your support of NJROTC.
